Asian Style BBQ Pork Ribs

Slow roast these ribs and finish them off on the grill with more fabulous BBQ sauce. We serve with a Chinese Smashed Cucumber Salad.
  • Cook Time 2 hrs in the oven, finish off on the grill


For the BBQ Sauce

  • 1.5c Soy Sauce
  • 3T kosher salt
  • 3T light brown sugar
  • 2T seasoned rice vinegar
  • 3T garlic, minced finely
  • 2T Gochuchang
  • 2T fresh ginger, grated
  • 2T toasted sesame oil
  • 1T black pepper (I use Urfa Biber Flakes)
  • (if needed, a slurry of 2T cornstarch/3T water to thicken)
  • 2 racks DeBragga Pork Ribs


  1. The day before cooking:
  2. Combine all bbq ingredients in a small pot and bring to a boil.  Add your slurry and whisk until thick.  Cool and refrigerate.

  3. That day: Heat oven to 300 °

  4. Bring ribs to room temp for 2 hours before roasting.  Brush some BBQ sauce on both sides of the ribs.  Wrap tightly in foil and place bone side down on a rimmed sheet.

  5. Roast for 2 hours, until the ribs are fork-tender.  Brush with more BBQ sauce and grill for 6 minutes.

  6. Serve with Chinese Smashed Cucumber Salad.
